Coupons!!!!

So, if you have been wondering where I have been lately....I am sure you all have been checking my blog daily right??? RIGHT??? I have been super busy and lots to catch you up on.

I have found a new passion.....COUPONING! Yes, it is a word. :) I got hooked seriously in a matter of days and have been going non-stop since. I have a good friend and neighbor here and she said to me "You should come couponing with me sometime." I figured "Yeah right, I can hardly figure out the cheap way to eat my normal food, how am I going to figure out how to coupon to". It just seemed like way too much work for me. But one weekend (4th of July weekend) I gave it a try. I bought the paper, clipped, sorted and then searched for deals. I found two websites which helped me break down where the deal are and how to get them and the next thing I knew I was hooked.

Let me give you an example of how good I have done:

In 6 weeks I have spent $150 on couponing....give or take...and here is what I have:

8 bottles Gillette shower gel

24 boxes cereal

10 boxes pop-tarts

8 boxes granola bars

4 bottle V8 fusion

7 boxes tampons/pads/liners

8 deodorant for Buns and 10 for me

2 new razors

44 razor re-fills

4 bottle Crest Pro-health mouthwash

8 crest toothbrushes

5 tubes of crest toothpaste (2 are for sensitive teeth)

4 packages of Oral-B floss

3 packages of 12-pack toilet paper

4 bottles spray n wash

3 bottles Soft Scrub

2 bottles Windex

3 bottles of dish soap

4 boxes of Zip-Lock bags

3 gallons milk

2 Freshetta pizzas

2 Family size shampoo

4 regular size shampo

1 icecream

5 bandaid boxes

etc, etc, etc, etc

I can't even keep track of everything I have gotten. Most of these items were either less than 1 buck a piece or free. FREE!!!! Seriously!!!!

I am blown away with how couponing works. Buns is super excited and encourages me to go for it. :) I have been quite proud of myself. :)

For example: I went to Safeway today, they has Gillette Body wash on sale (Buns loves this stuff) for $2.99, I had a coupon for $2 and then Safeway has a doubler (they will double a coupon up to $0.50). SO....that makes it $0.49!!! So I got 4! 2.56 with tax. Simple as that!
