This is not always the case but I have developed an adverse reaction to the flu shot this year. Doctors always say that when you get the flu shot, you may experience some "flu like symptoms" such as low fever, and being achy However, my reaction was insane. Within 5 hours of getting the shot, I was unable to fully stand due to pain, I had bloodshot eyes, a bad headache, and a fever of 101.8. I felt like I was going to die. Thankfully, the next day the fever just hovered around 99.0 - 99.5 and today it is pretty much gone.
I am never getting the flu shot again. Period.

Dude my mom got sick the night she got the flu shot too. That sucks! Get one or not to get one???? Hhmmm
